As an Apple Corps member I tested new programs in preparation for the school year to come as well as new software for teachers to use through out the school district.
By testing new programs I simulated real work experience in a large corporation and received an opportunity to explore my vocation.

As an Apple Corps member I worked as an information technology help desk worker providing faculty and students IT and Tech Ed support.
By sharing information and problem solving I expanded my knowledge of technology.

Apple Corps is a select group of students in high school chosen to provide help to faculty, administrators, and students. They deal with all things technology related such as MacBooks, cameras, printers, iPods, and Smart Boards.
I was an Apple Corps member and had the opportunity to participate on a question and answer panel of students. We provided information on how technology is utilized in the school environment of a one to one program to various school district administrators.
I was placed in the role of technology advisor to school administrators which served to effect the educational systems throughout the North-East, from Massachusetts down to the Carolinas.

Apple and Microsoft, the perfect pair?

Last week Microsoft announced that they have created some new partnerships. These now allow you to monitor your recordings and make changes from anywhere with a web browser. The second partnership allows you to watch any video that you have recorded from any web browser. Now lets combine that with Orb, the program that lets you watch your TV Tuner from any web browser. So no lets recap; we can watch live TV, change and monitor out recording schedule, and then watch videos that we recorded to verify that they are right. So what does this have to do with Apple? The iPhone 3G! The device Steve Jobs hinted at last week to be coming out next September is the perfect compliment. A mobile device with a web browser, DSL speeds and an unlimited data plan. When you combine that iPhone and a Media Center PC you get the ultimate media device allowing you to run all your recordings from anywhere in the country!

Once you go Black you don’t go back?

It seems that since Apple started a trend of black devices with the launch of the Black iPod two years ago the white has been fading from the product page. The iPhone comes in solely black and now the new iPods lack white across the board. The new iMacs are now silver with Black. The only products that lack black are the MacBook which still is available in white or BLACK, the Cinema Displays that come in brushed metal with a silver apple, the brushed aluminum Mac Pro, and the brushed aluminum X Server. In the months leading up to MacWorld apple is expected to launch a new Silver MacBook without a white option. Along side of those are new Cinema Displays with a black apple and new Mac Pros with no rumored case changes. Are the good days of the Apple white products gone? Maybe for now but like the colorful days of the 90’s and the recent wave of colorful ipods everything apple is cylindrical and white will be back. Till then we’ll just have to hope the Aluminum takes over faster than black.

Mother and 3 children found dead hanging in Texas, infant survived!

A relative found the bodies of a 23-year-old woman and her four small daughters hanging in a closet in their mobile home Tuesday morning, all of them dead but an 8-month-old, who was taken to a hospital, the sheriff said.

Two New Websclusive “Get A Mac” ads

Apple has released two more web ads to go along with the three just released for television. This is “Knocking” in which PC needs to leave the ad to find his Vista drivers. The second is “Hiding” ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdBB4ekspRg ) in which PC warns all web surfers of the dangers that viruses pose to them while they surf.

Official: TheBroken 5 is coming!

A while back Kevin Rose announced that TheBroken was dead due to the long production time but Jay has just confirmed in a post on the Revision 3 forums that episode 5 is indeed in production. His quick and minimal post doesn’t give any information as to the subject of the episode or the release time frame though.
